Document Type: User Data & Privacy Protection Statement
Introductory Statement: This Privacy Statement serves as an official data protection document released by the operator of Brelis. This statement elaborates transparent and detailed rules regarding data collection, storage, processing and user rights protection for our sleep tracking application. This document applies to all individuals who access, register and utilize Brelis’s sleep recording functions. Continuing to use our services constitutes that you fully acknowledge, understand and agree to every term contained herein.
1. Service Overview & User Eligibility
1.1 Core Service Content
Brelis is a dedicated personal sleep journal and tracking tool designed for private daily health recording. The application enables users to document personal sleep conditions by uploading sleep-related photos, adding textual notes such as sleep quality feedback, bedtime records, dream journals and rest-related insights. All created sleep records are stored for personal review and management at any time. This application is only available for non-commercial, private daily usage without any public sharing or social interactive features.
1.2 Age Access Restriction
Given the sensitive and private nature of personal sleep data and health-related journals, all functional entries of Brelis are exclusively accessible to end users aged eighteen (18) years or older who possess full legal capacity. The platform does not target minors, and we do not collect any data from users under 18 years of age.
Any access attempt and account registration from minors is strictly prohibited. Our platform reserves the right to automatically block unauthorized underage access and erase all related residual data without prior notification. Legal guardians may contact our official support email to submit data clearance requests if unauthorized minor usage occurs.
2. Data Classification & Collection Boundaries
Brelis strictly abides by the data minimization principle across all data processing activities. We only gather data that is indispensable to operate sleep recording functions. Under no circumstances will we collect sensitive information including precise location, contact lists, financial data, biometric identifiers and irrelevant personal private information. The data processed by our platform is divided into two independent categories:
2.1 User-Generated Sleep Records
This category covers all sleep-related content independently created and submitted by users, including sleep status photos, rest environment snapshots, customized sleep notes, bedtime descriptions and other textual journal entries. Such data belongs exclusively to individual users and is only processed to complete record storage and content management requirements initiated by users.
2.2 De-Identified Operational Metrics
Anonymous and unidentifiable statistical data automatically generated during application runtime, including function access frequency, system error logs, page operation tracks and anonymized device attributes. This type of data cannot be used to identify any single user and is merely adopted for internal program debugging and functional optimization.
3. Legitimate Purpose of Data Processing
All collected data shall never be used beyond authorized scopes or diverted to third-party commercial promotion activities. The platform only processes user data for the following legitimate purposes:
• Maintain Core Functions: Store user-submitted sleep photos and textual journals, support content editing, real-time viewing and personalized record management to assist users in tracking long-term sleep habits;
• Optimize Application Experience: Analyze de-identified operational metrics to fix technical bugs, optimize data loading efficiency and stabilize the overall operating environment of sleep record modules;
• Enforce Content Compliance: Review uploaded content to eliminate illegal and harmful information, maintaining a safe and private recording environment for all qualified users;
• Resolve User Inquiries: Respond to technical failures, functional suggestions and service consultations delivered via our official support email.
4. Data Storage Specifications & Risk Prevention
4.1 Storage Mechanism
All original sleep photos and private journal entries are stored locally on users’ mobile devices by default. Brelis does not enable mandatory cloud synchronization or automatic remote backup services. Users retain complete ownership and absolute control over all sleep record data, and have full authority to modify or delete stored content at any time.
4.2 Data Retention Cycle
User-generated sleep records will be reserved on local devices until users manually delete relevant files or uninstall the application. De-identified operational data stored on encrypted cloud servers will be permanently deleted within 30 days after collection to prevent redundant data accumulation.
4.3 Security Protection
Our platform adopts local encrypted sandbox isolation technology to isolate private sleep records from external third-party applications, effectively preventing unauthorized access and data leakage. Cloud-based anonymous data is protected by end-to-end encryption and graded access authorization to ensure data security throughout every processing link.
5. Third-Party Data Transfer & Disclosure Rules
The platform upholds a zero-sale policy for user private data. We solemnly declare that we will never sell, rent, trade or share users’ sleep records and private journals with any external third-party institutions, commercial organizations or private individuals under conventional operating scenarios.
Limited data disclosure is only permitted under the following legally compliant exceptional circumstances:
1. The user voluntarily provides explicit written or electronic authorization for specific content sharing;
2. The platform receives legally binding compulsory orders issued by judicial and administrative supervision authorities;
3. Disclosing partial anonymous data is necessary to eliminate potential network security vulnerabilities and safeguard platform operational stability.
6. User Entitlements & Usage Liabilities
6.1 Data Management Rights
All eligible adult users have the right to access, revise and delete personal sleep records stored in the application; the right to disable the collection of anonymous operational data through device permission settings; the right to obtain detailed data processing statements by contacting our official email address.
6.2 User Usage Liabilities
Users shall warrant that all uploaded photos and journal content are legally owned and do not contain violent, pornographic, infringing, fraudulent or any other illegal and inappropriate content. Users shall independently bear all legal liabilities, compensation obligations and related risks arising from irregular content uploading behaviors.
7. Statement Revision & Communication Channel

Revised clauses will be published inside the application with the updated effective date marked. Users’ continued use of sleep tracking services after updates indicates acceptance of the revised statement.
